Fall Home Tour

Good Friday morning friends. Today I’m so excited to share a little tour of our home all decorated for fall. Fall is seriously my favorite time of year, I love everything about it!! From the weather to the food, cozy nights and football. I love the smell in the air and the beautiful colors of the leaves as they change. So naturally I love decorating for fall but when it comes to decorating for the holidays I always try to stick to my style and what I know and love…neutrals.

IMG_0953.JPGLast year being our first year in our home for the holidays, I purchased a few Fall décor items but they mostly consisted of white pumpkins, some cotton and Indian corn. Really, that was about it. When we moved from NC to Ohio I left behind most of our ‘holiday’ décor other than Christmas because it wasn’t important compared the things we needed to bring and to be honest there was never very much to decorate with. Before the only holiday I really ‘went all out’ for was Christmas. We didn’t keep a lot of holiday stuff laying around simply because it was just more stuff to move when the time came. Now that we are in our ‘forever home’ I can start collecting things to keep and use each year! This year I added more white pumpkins and a few other neutral pieces.

In our sitting room is where most of the decorating took place, other than the dining room this is the first room that guests see when they walk in. It was also the easiest space to decorate with the entry table being in this space and the cozy corner of course!! I moved my large DIY chalk board into this corner and it instantly made it feel cozier! White pumpkins were thrown about, in the dough bowl, shoved in baskets…I created a fall vignette on the entry table and threw a little pumpkin garland in the wicker tray on my chicken crate. Its all very simple but I love that it matched the style and feel of our home.

All of my white pumpkins were purchased at Michael’s craft store. They are my go to for white pumpkins. The shade of white is perfect and they are the most realistic ones I’ve been able to find. I added this adorable pillow cover from Parrischic Boutique you can find it here. The small pumpkins on the bench were found in the Target dollar section and the chalkboard was a DIY.

This little vignette was so fun to set up and it was actually part of a fun new hashtag challenge I started on Instagram called #misdiychallenge. I will share more about it in another post!! The wheat wreath was purchased at Target last year on clearance but I did see them again this year in stores!! Again the white pumpkins are from Michael’s craft store along with the set of three pumpkin on the right. The white textured pumpkin in the middle was found at Tjmaxx. Those little baby signs, Pumpkins & Fall, are from my sweet friend Melissa @mytrustedtreasures and can be found here.

In our dining room I added more small touches of fall just by placing a few pumpkins on the shelves and added this super cute Gather banner that I also found in the dollar section at Target. The centerpiece is fresh flowers I purchased at Trader Joe’s and I only wish they’d last longer. For our entry I added this fall blanket scarf that the Mr. gave to me last year on Christmas, I LOVE all the colors in this scarf!!!  I also added some real pumpkins that we purchased locally. Simple but makes a big ‘fall’ statement.

In our family room more pumpkins were added, I switched out some of our blankets for warmer tones and added some fall inspired pillows. This water color pumpkin pillow is by Ms.craftberrybush and the super cute scrabble tiles by Bexleyslc can be found here.

This year, for the very first time EVER, I even added a little holiday décor to our master bedroom. Again, I kept it very simple, adding small touches to the space. I used more white pumpkins to decorate our Magnolia tray and placed another real pumpkin on my DIY desk. (I’ll be sharing how I built this desk next week)

Again the white pumpkins are from Michael’s craft store, the mini Fall sign is from My Trusted Treasures, the tray and the wreath are from Magnolia and that gorgeous pillow cover is from Farm House On Boone and can be found here.

This DIY desk I built was so simple and y’all could even build this as a sofa table!! So cute! So for this little work space I just simply added a pumpkin and a white sunflower. Simple and neutral!!!
